Well car was at TDI North today for its mapping and......

we have a winner!!

 

extra 22bhp so im happy with that, annoyingly i wanted 260 but thats close enough

 

just need to bleed clutch a few more times and adjust the throttle cable as its a bit sticky. The itbs i have fitted have the throttle linkage in a less than perfect position (downside to using itbs that arent meant for this car/engine)

 

should be picking it up on friday and hopefully put back together on sunday

yeah, list of bits to do:

 

adjust throttle cable routing as it is sticking on part throttle (fine on full throttle oddly..)

bleed clutch

fit clam, spoiler and diffuser

 

so should be done this weekend

Thats frustrating Mate, Heard nothing but good things about TDI and Id imagine youll see a lot more power on their optimistic Dyno! Ill change my guess to 259!

Do they still use the "milking machines" (ie hub dynos)? I ask, as when I went to TDI (in Essex) I specifically asked Sam Borgman when/if they calibrated them. He said he'd calibrated the machines only the day before. I must have looked at him as if he was telling a porkies, as he nipped to the corner of the room and produced a bar and weight which clearly indicated that he had genuinely done it. Hence I'd have assumed their figure was spot on accurate (at the hubs).

depends on how they measure and calibrate engine rpm

 

but that doesn't matter, the important thing is it runs safely and will get a season of trackdays now
