Big batch (not sure which parts) have been made and it was awaiting being booked into the bodyshop (assume for gloss coat). They're hoping to start dispatching from mid May... I'm away on hols next week so will go quiet, however will get an update on my return and update you all

Should we be getting worried that no one has received a receipt, or any products and now you're awaiting a response? Would it be too much for ultimate carbon to keep us updated on this thread directly given the size of the order?

Not really, I know people have received responses. If not pm me and I'll chase them for you. He's very quick at getting back to me on the phone. However rather than get bombarded I've ask him to focus on the job in hand to minimise waiting. Update from my earlier request from them... second batch is near complete and due to go to body shop for lacquer. Due to be sent out end of the month.

Another update...

Been in touch with Scott from UC tonight, we're conscious people are being patient and so thought you'd all like to see we're getting very close!

Just wanted to instill some confidence, let's just remember the size of the order.

Please note this isn't everything... just the latest batch but as you can see progress is being made

Cheers Scotty Some idea of timeframe would be great even if it's just a guesstimate. An idea when the last batch should be dispatched would be useful, no-one will complain if they get bits earlier than expected but all that's been communicated is mid May for the 1st batch. Beyond that no idea, is it a batch per week, per month, per year? How many batches? 1, 10, 100? Not meaning to be awkward but we have parted with substantial sums of money on blind faith. I have no doubt you'll deliver but hope it's not months and months ?

I know he's got various batches on the go at various different stages, some need trimming, some need lacquering and some need finishing. The batch posted tonight is probably a couple of weeks off, so should be going out end of the month I'm told. I'm not entirely sure how many batches are on the go and I would hope we're weeks off rather than months off. Its difficult to estimate given the amount and variation of orders, also wouldn't want people to hang their hats on dates given. I'll speak to Scott and see if there's anything we can do to give more transparency but hopefully tonight we're demonstrating good progress is being made

Saw my Steering wheel surround in that box awaiting finishing. I am well pleased with my other Ultimate Carbon CF, so reckon this will look great.

 

Reminds me, I need to chase that half hundred weight of pick 'n' mix from Woolworth's that I ordered and paid for in 2008.
