My zafira work car would be my tow Car it can tow up to 1600kg I think so would be ok for Trailor and vx,it's a 1.9 diesel cdtiI'm not sure on the trailer but I would make sure it's twin axel. What will you be using to tow?

Yes on old man licence so that's no problem . It's says its. Bed size 5 6 x 10 8I take it your on an old man licence Lee?
Makes it a little simpler on towing rules. What are the width and length of the bed?

Need to find that out but it's twin axle so should be good for a vxWhat's the max gross weight of the trailer? Also the weight of it unloaded?

Well I supose I should measure my car first then lol better not buy that then does look a nice Trailor though just need a smaller car lolA standard vx has a width (outside of the wheel to outside of wheel) of just over 1.7m. 5ft6in is 1.67m. Minimum you wany really is 1.9m Picked my clubman up for £950, it's 1.9m by 4m.

Lee, my must haves:
Twin Axle: safety in case of tyre failure, more stable when towing at speeds.
Centre Deck: Protects the underside of the car from road dirt and spray, plus allows you to use the trailer to carry other loads. Also protects your shins from bruises and cuts when you fall from through the gap between the load bearing treads, with an uncovered deck.
Pull out ramps: Much more convienent and tidy than those that you have to remove and stow on the trailer. Try to get the extra lenght ramps as well it helps with our cars.

Storage box
Locking wheel nuts: I case some Bu**er with a single axle and a puncture tries to steal your wheels
As stated make sure that the gross capacity of trailer and load does not exceed recommended capacity of two car...obvious. However, I did hear of a case in the press a while ago, where a driver was stopped with his empty trailer, and cautioned, as the trailers gross capacity exceeded the recommended tow capacity of the car, eventhough there was nothing on the trailer
Brian James trailers are the best in my view, and their new tie down system is a doddle, however, it won't retrofit older trailers like mine

Lee, I agree with the above! If you also intend to carry fuel, additional tools, parts, wheels or additional people, then you'll struggle. Have a spare trailer wheel & check all you tyres on the inside & outside faces on a regular basis as they tend to crack easily even if there's plenty of tread left.
Above all, get a twin axle with a fully covered deck! I'd buy new or if not get a cheap one, check that the damper is working properly too. Brian James trailers will fetch more, no matter how old. you'll also get most of your money back when you sell.
Hamilton car covers (not too far from me) do a really good cover for cars being trailered, it doesn't balloon out & will keep your car free of road muck. They may be able to make you a custom one to allow for your big rear wing. I don't think it's on their web site though! I was there yesterday buying some tailored indoor covers for some of my cars, & I was talking to them about it.

If you are interested in a single axle trailer , I am likely to sell my Brian James A2 sometime soon, is the range that replaced the Minno and less than a year old. Comes with pull out ramps, kick down stands, uprated hitch with lock, storage in the bed, full set of tie down (fit over tyres not round wheels), wheel chocks etc.
Over the Minno it also has far far better suspension units and brakes, I had a Minno previously and this trailer is so much better in every way.
Load is 998, trailer gross is 1500kg, 2m wide bed. I'm only selling on as we sold our A4, and I am really unlikely to buy anything else that's capable of towing it.

Cant go wrong with a BJ trailer, biggest pita is storing it without a pikey borrowing it.

The MAM of the trailer is taken into account regardless of load when your towing under the B cat. The GVW and trailer MAM must not exceed 3500kg.
