Hi all, I'm in the process of retrimming a muncher hardtop that's been painted. In two minds about whether to keep the existing material and spray glue it back in, or go another route. Thinking alcantara or flocking possibly. Looking for inspiration in the form of pictures or advice! Cheers.

Leather sounds interesting. Do you have any close up pics of the inside?

That looks great. Should be a relatively easy material to get as well, without the cross stitching obviously, cheers!

My daughter had hers flocked in light grey down here in sussex. I would personally suggest a light colour as it makes the interior a lighter nicer place to be.

My soft top roof is lined with Mercedes grey roof liner, only cost me £30 and looks great.

Any pics of these Martin - was thinking of flocking the liner for mine to be honest. Not sure how light I can go though, since I've inherited Joe's black on black interior.

I would also like to see the flocking. Would have gone for a darker colour usually but you are right about it feeling brighter in there. Some cars are much nicer with a lighter cabin. Do you mind divulging how much it cost for flocking the roof? Cheers

Heres laurens flocked roof and my soft top lined. Lauren apid £100 for the flocking. Its been on nearly a year and a half and is still immaculate.

The liner could also be done on  a hardtop.

Thanks Martin flocking looks really good. Think my interior will need black or darker colour though.

they do every colour you can imagine. I prefer light as it makes the cabin a bit airier.

Nice end effect though, very suade like.

Cheap as in about £20 in material and a few hours of my time. Never done anything else like it and for a first job I was quite happy with the results. I'm sure others could do better by far
