it seems my decision is down to how bothered I am about euro track cover versus the cost of taking out RAC again (£100 plus euro cover).

Depends on how likely it is you'll make Spa next time ?  :D

Seem to be the best for me price wise, any good in the event of a claim? Seem genuine?

It seems everyone is getting offered different things. Strange.

But all getting the same thing whether they realise it or not!

I recently changed my policy over to the Z4M and have been told that it's £25 per track day now. I don't think it's fair to say you have unlimited track days and then change it mid term.

but you have a new policy now and new conditions now apply. I wonder if this will now apply to us when/if we want to renew.Reminds me of that bank advert. https://youtu.be/ZVeZ2UKSSm8

Yeah, it's the classic car policy. It's the same policy so cover shouldn't change.

Cover has changed, you've varied the original conditions by changing the car. It's like saying you now have a Ferrari and complaining that they want an additional premium. It will be interesting when renewals come up if there is any significant change in terms and premiums.

I still don't agree with it, I changed the car and paid an additional premium I expect my cover to be the same.

What is the insurance cover called and different from the one you had for the VX? Is your new car classed as a classic? The insurers probably think that BMW drivers aren't as safe as VX drivers on track!

It's a mid term adjustment, I haven't changed my policy I've only changed my car. The policy should stay the same, an increase in premium is understandable for a higher risk car but I never asked to change my policy.

I would say a mid term change was putting your wife on the policy or changing your mileage allowance, not the car!

I would say any changes are mid term adjustments. I haven't cancelled my policy and started a new one, I made an amendment to an existing policy which has the same expiry date as the last one as it's the same policy.

Just renewed my insurance. Forgot about it until today when it ran out so had no time to look around. Anyway it hadn't gone up....£349 like last year. However I was told I had unlimited trackdays last year but the renewal says 6. Also increased excess in Nov and Dec. The increased excess in Nov and Dec is interesting. I could understand it being as it's winter?  But what about Jan and Feb?  Any thoughts on that?

Trackday Insurance

Your policy comes with 6 UK and EU trackday insurance. You must notify us at least one working day before the event by email – info@hendersontaylor.co.uk to be insured to do the event

Trackday excess is different to your normal excess, it’s 10% of the vehicle value however in  November and December It’s 20%
