This doesn't work on my car and never has. Are they easy to fix or should I just not bother?

Get a vapour stick, or if the need is that bad I suppose you could pull over when you need to smoke and ask the nearest pedestrian for a light. Hope this helps. :grouphug:

I have just fitted a socket and a double USB in the little hollow at the front of the sill. Great for phones, cameras and sat nav. Just ran 2 wires to the battery with an inline fuse. Simples.

The standard one is in a silly place.

But yes checking the fuse would be the best place to start.

And if not the fuse then check the plug on the back of the socket and the plug wiring etc.

I speak from experience on the fuse. Years ago mine stopped working. I started buggering about with it and really fcuked it up. Cost me £60 at a dealer to repair. All that was wrong in the first place was a blown fuse.

The tabs inside the connector can be a bit hit and miss as to whether they make contact with a plug when inserted. Have you tried a variety of different design charger plugs and wiggled them around to see if there is any life? Try prising the contacts on the socket / plug our a bit to make a tighter fit.

Thanks guys. FYI this is for my TomTom 😊. Checked fuse and seemed fine but am now wondering if I checked the right one. Any one got a diagram of all fuses?

Thankfully it was indeed the fuse (nice and easy). Cheers gang. Now to sort the central locking.
