Have put my Dash back after Fez heater install but really can't decide whether the LHS of the Dash is fitting correctly. Although all the hard-to-get-at screws went back ok there seems to be a large gap. Hopefully the photos tell the story better - I've not got a local VX to compare to.

My dash is far from standard so I can't compare but from memory that doesn't look right at all. Looks like it should be over to the left a bit with the cut out sitting over the windscreen frame more. Although saying that if all the screws are in where they should be I can't see where you're going wrong.

no, that gap is far too wide

Have the two pins at the back centre of th dash seated properly in their holes?

There shouldn't be a gap, most likely the pins aren't in place as suggested above.
