During the winter had a plan to make a small front splitter. I have low clearance and didnt want a big beastie so designed corner splitters as they touch down less. Seemed an idea to make it adjustable. Thanks to the amazing help of Mopeytitan, the idea actually got done. He made some spoilers and the metal splitter parts.

Its mounted using one nut and bolt which which is the pivot point, then other bolts that are tight but not over tight using locknuts, then one bolt that uses a captive nut that can easily be got at and undone without raising the car very easily. One turn of a 10mm socket and it slides out or in. The other bolts have slots cut in the metal which they slide along. (in the first picture one is out and one in)

I was going to use unique corner spoilers then mount the splitter part under but despite Mopeytitans best efforts it was hard to make the spoiler parts out of fibreglass or other materials with enough flex, so ended up using a seat leon spoiler as the basis. This is mounted in the nromal way then the splitter part mounted separately. All bolts have large spacers to spread the load. This isnt ideal but other splitters like the robin one etc all use bigger bolts than we would like.

Am soon to try it at speed and plan to mount a tiny video on it to see what flex etc goes on, but it has had the same amount of intense design and aerodynamic testing as all the other Exige, robin, home made and seat leon splitters that are attached to many vx's and its side canard was designed to match in with the equally intensely aerodynamically tested rear canards I got off another vxer on this site!!

Looks good, but not sure you need the mishapen leon splitter stuck in the middle?

Good thing is I can try it either way. I may take off the Seat bit and just have the splitter or may just keep the Seat leon part. Just fiddling around as fancied doing something.

Nice! I've been searching for a solution just like this. Ended up using 2mm corner 'splitter' winglets as a 'trial'. Bit pony in comparison to yours! Any chance you could knock up another (first dibs)? Cheers. Benzola.

Can report that this works.

Did Goodwood last week averaging over 100mph constantly and 130 plus on the straight and having it in its smallest setting the front feels better than it ever has inspring loads of confidence and masses of grip without the backend feeling like it needs more downforce. Will only be sliding it out to its bigger positions if I ever fit a wing. But its definitely staying on.

Looks better in real life as it blends well with the seat leon part much better than it looks in the photos.
