Let's have a fairer comparison, what's PCars like in comparison to Forza 5?

PCars vs Forza 5

Less cars in PCars

"More sim like" than Forza 5

More tracks in PCars (Also including several UK tracks, Snetterton 100,200,300, Oulton Park (all layouts), Silverstone (inc Stowe), Brands Hatch (GP&Indy)

Decent weather in PCars, starting a session in the dry and then it rains, definite change in handling.

It's definitely easier for me to compare Forza5 and PCars, given I have an XboxOne and therefore cannot compare iRacing/AC etc. Clearly PC users are able to make those comparisons.

yep, xbox one owner here too. Always been a big fan of forza, so it sounds like PCars will be a worthy upgrade for me

Do you use a wheel and pedals with your xbox one? There only seems to be the Mad Catz and Thrustmaster available at the mo. I'm kinda hanging on to see if anything better comes along

I'm a pad only user, not got the time/space for wheel

For me, it's about grabbing 30mins here and there to play.

Have a look at the tx300 from thrustmaster (i think its compatible with X:O) it uses a belt driven system so you get much better feeling.. No clutch but you could always upgrade to a clutch pedal set later on. you could always buy the th8rs shifter to go with it.

tx300 is PS4 only.

The popular TM for xbone is the Ferrari 458 http://www.amazon.co... steering wheel

However they've just released the new 28 GT wheel. There aren't many reviews yet though

Looks like the 28GT is just an add-on wheel for the setup?

http://www.thrustmas...tforms/xbox-one

There are different pedals as well, inc a 3pedal setup for clutch?

Oh crap, so it is. The 458 Italia would be good if it wasn't so unreliable. People either give it 5 stars or 1 star  http://www.amazon.co... steering wheel

This Ars Tech review sums up the current crappy state of xbone steering wheels http://arstechnica.c...teering-wheels/

Yeh think so. Had an email from Game with a code to enter at www.dlc-projectcars.com That then emails you a code to enter into your console/pc

i agree with that

if you want more of a challenge its worth having, if you want to have fun build fun cars and having half hour blasting around then forza 5 still wins.

the sounds are also great on P Cars, the Lotus turbo F1 car is great and is a proper handful once it comes on boost!

:yeahthat:

I could probably drive a car better with an Xbox controller than with a wheel and pedals lol.
