About to buy some ZZR.   However, been told that although they are road legal, they haven't passed the latest round of EU tyre legislation so can only be sold for motorsport use only.   Anyone else have them on a car that has passed an MOT? They're going on a track car, but this is driven to and from circuits.   Ta

Just tell the MOT tester that we don't give a sh*t about EU tyre legislation any more ;)

Legal to use on the road and they're fully e-marked but Avon cannot sell them as Road tyres.. Strange but true.

That's stoopid. Did seem a bit odd that they're e marked and road legal, but not allowed to be sold for road use.

Luckily my car is taken to tracks on the back of a *cough* trailer *cough*.

Its like emissions defeat stuff being sold as "off highway" or not for road use, when it can (mostly) pass the basic legal testing etc
