I know, I have to wear earplugs for all journeys. It's partly my fault, by removing the noise insulation in the bulkhead, if I put that back I'm sure it would drop by about 5 to 10 dB, but still would be loud at full chat.

I doubt they protect your hearing (willing to be proven wrong)....Just make things seem like its quiet by pumping the same noise inverted :lol:

My right hearing is significantly ruined since doing 60K in a VX, and that was with an OEM exhaust!

I don't think making either a Z22SE or Z20LET louder would quell any urges for a nice sounding engine. A bit like having an argument with someone that is wrong, but thinks shouting will help their case. That just makes them wrong and loud.
