Mines just arrived.  Can't wait to get it fitted.  I lost a lot of love for the car when I took the old one off.

My fitting tip: Get Matt Bentley to do it - assuming that you can get hold of him on the phone to arrange drop off !

Ok thanks ive just attempted to fit the first part u bend couldnt get the flange which bolts onto the catalyst section through the hole in the heat shield. Managed to shoehorn it through by slighly enlarging the hole then spent about 2 hours trying to get the bracket on and into the rubber but just wouldnt go !! Do i need to alter the heatdhield more Is the exhaust a tight fit agsinst the shield once fitted ? Ps my necks killin me lol

You'll find most people who have fitted aftermarket exhausts have had to cut out the heat shield on both ends because the U bend on other systems tends to be wider. Leave the heat shield loose when you've fitted it.

The rubber mounts bolt to the chassis with 2 x bolts, undo those, fit onto the exhaust, then bolt up.

Could always use some Vaseline on the rubber to make life a little easier.

No probs getting the support bars into the rubber its just the fitting of everything into the oem shield i was wanting some advise from someone who has fitted a larini backbox into an oem shield. Just basically how much and what needed cutting away and hopefully a pic Cheers

Guess flat would be more preferable than vertical for flow but guess the best position is wherever it has most clearance really so you don't scorch anything. Does this sound condescending again?

Yes it does sound condescending again 😂,I suppose like fezz says the gas isn't really bothered either way, it's quite a tiny rear box compared to standard and the blueflame equivalent so space will not be that much of an issue.....Excited, mine has come today, and I'm off tomorrow 🙌

I fitted mine vertical as it seemed easier to fit.

Jealous. I'm still waiting for my sports cat. Been under the silver one all evening replacing discs and pads and bleeding the brakes. Hopefully make some progress on the blue one next week. Should be making the airbox next week too.

Well, what a crap job, trying to get the tips lined up is an episode in itself....as someone stated earlier in the group buy the tail pipe clip is a mare, wonder just how tight you can go on it. Plan some time if your tackling this as a novice.

Thats an understatement ive been on with mine all day basically fitting without the heat shield to get an idea of where i need to modify/cut the shield absolute nightmare currently got it in place but no way i can get the tailpipes plumb bit disapointed at mo as was expecting a better easier fit !! Looking at it at moment the hanger brackets are higher than the shield level:-( the u bend from cat pipe is actualy more than 180 degrees so the silencer does not run parallel to the subframe gona just shut the garage door and have a beer and have another go tomorrow
