How do you get 539 from that? Due to exchange rates? Exchange rates change so if it is better now than when the site was last updated it will look cheaper.

It does. I just thought £30 difference was a rather big difference. Nevertheless, the discount in both euros and pounds is still 8.4% on the pages I look at, no matter the exchange rate.

The way I worked it was 680 divided by 580 multiplied by 100 gave me 85% of the original £680 cost so a 15% saving..... Am I wrong?

580 instead of 680 is a 15% discount, that is correct :) The thing is that I don't get those prices when I look at the links.

I'd definitely give them a call on Monday, we all get 15% of the net price.

Well now they have increased the normal price, in both euros and british pounds.

Posted Image

That's a strange way of giving a discount. Why not increase the normal price even more and the discount will be huge? ;)

They spoke about a price increase that was about to come soon. Maybe that was the one.

Before pointing fingers on a public forum you might want to ask why this is happening?

The answer is the same as I've already given by email.

Currency exchange rates have changed recently. Unfortunately for the Euro based people, the pound has gone up from 1.15 last year to 1.40 this year.

To prevent the system from constantly changing, we have implemented a separated Euro and Sterling zone. People who are identified from the UK will see our Sterling website and people from the rest of the world see our Euro website. Some other things are different as well, postage calculations, VAT rate (as UK is handled by our UK company), phone number etc.

At the moment, we are slightly handicapped as our system doesn't allow us to do currency updates accross the line. All needs to be done manually and I'll raise my hand here... I've missed three items in the last update. All three were in the VX section.

So, nothing has changed on the Sterling side of things, three prics on the Euro site have been updated. The prices in the bulk deal were correct from the beginning as they were derived from the Sterling price.

If you think that's unfair, I'd suggest talk to the Euro bods in Brussels as they've let the Euro slip, not exactly our call.

Why would I blame the politicians in Brussels? They don't update prices on your site, do they?

Sorry, something must have gone lost in translation.

What I meant is when you have an issue with the weak Euro compared to other currencys you've got to talk to Brussels.

As for updating, yes that's what we do, I've raised my hand end explained we missed three positions which have now been adjusted and that's the end of it.

There's nobody who's forcing you to buy anything, if you don't like the deal walk away.

Really? This is your attitude? The guy saves you £100 and you show gratitude by being sarcastic over a simple admin error? Sorry Yvo, the stance of this individual is not representative of the group. The rest of us are very grateful for your help with this. Mine's now ordered. Looking forward to receiving it and taking my £100 savings to the pub for a night out.
