You don't seem to understand. The guy saved me approx £50 from the price that his website showed when I joined this group buy, not 100. My attitude is not sarcastic. He asked me to blame Brussels and I asked why, because as I understand they don't admin his site. I'm happy for your discount but I will buy another exhaust system somewhere else. Thanks for your effort with this group buy though, guys i'm happy for your savings CheersReally? This is your attitude? The guy saves you £100 and you show gratitude by being sarcastic over a simple admin error? Sorry Yvo, the stance of this individual is not representative of the group. The rest of us are very grateful for your help with this. Mine's now ordered. Looking forward to receiving it and taking my £100 savings to the pub for a night out.Why would I blame the politicians in Brussels? They don't update prices on your site, do they?

It's quite simple, and i'm sorry you don't understand that.
1) Larini is a UK based company, they operate in GBP, and price in GBP. The price for a VX220 backbox has a fixed price in GBP
2) Elise-Shop pay Larini in GBP
3) The price in Euros is dependant on the change rate. If you buy from the UK store you will see that the price you pay after conversion depends on the bank exchange rate.
4) Elise-Shop also sell directly in Euros. This price needs to periodically for parts originating in the UK to ensure that they maintain the same margin.
You will be in the same situation buying any exhaust system originating in the UK.

No need to be sorry, fezzasus. I perfectly understand currency conversion.
Please read my older posts in this thread and you will understand what I'm talking about. Anyway, I will summarize it here in order to try to make it easier to understand:
1. I saw this thread and looked up the normal price of the backbox on the elise-shop.com website. The price was GBP 539 / Euro 739 (excluding VAT for simplicity). Exchange rate: 1.37.
2. I thought a 15% discount would be nice so I joined the group buy.
3. When I'm about to place the order I find out that the discounted price is GBP 494 / Euro 677 (excl VAT) . Exchange rate: 1.37.
4. That is a discount of only 8.4%, not 15% as promised. So I asked what was wrong - my mathematical skills or the discounted price.
5. It turns out that neither of the above was wrong. Elise-shop answers me that there was an error with the normal price. The normal price was then corrected and all of a sudden almost 8% higher than before. The normal price is now higher than it was when Yvo posted in the beginning of this thread and told us to look up the prices on the Elise-shop site. The new normal price is now GBP 581 / Euro 797 (excluding VAT). Exchange rate: still 1.37.
6. I now understand that I won't get a 15% discount of the price that was shown on their website from the beginning. Yvo tells me that I don't have to buy anything if I don't like the deal. He also talks about exchange rates and politicians in Brussels.
Conclusion:
This has nothing to do with exchange rates and Brussels. The exchange rate is the same in all three cases. The GBP did not get 8% stronger over one night.
This has to do with Elise-shop not letting me buy the backbox for the discounted price, based on the normal price that was on their website from the beginning of this group buy deal.
PS I was about to show screenshots from Google's webcache but unfortunately I cannot upload pictures larger than 19 kB. They show however that the backbox, the secondary de-cat section, the sports cat system and the de-cat system all got the prices increased at the same time.
I have only done business with Elise-shop once before and then I also had problems with the order. That time they told me to blame the manufacturer and now they tell me to blame Brussels. I will simply buy my exhaust system somewhere else
I hope I have made myself clear.

I've had some questions from forum members about Sports Cats.
We will be doing a special on that as well ..but.. we can't do the same discount on cats as the margin on cats is less than what we get on the exhausts. This has to do with the cores Larini are using. These are not cheap and are the same as what they're using for their prestige car systems.
Best we can do there is 10%
I've already created the links to the bulk buy prices for the cats, you can find them here:
