Hi chaps

 

Sorry again for the delay, feel free to shout at me. This grill is proving tricky to get right, and I don't want to produce an inferior item. That said, I have been dragging my heels a bit recently as other things have got in the way of progress.

 

My plastics man sent me an email yesterday showing the revised artwork (3rd set of revisions) and has ordered more material. This should be the one! It will be cut on a different machine to hopefully get the quality finish I want. I have also reduced the number of fixing points as 8 was overkill.

 

Just the assembly to master, I hope. Once again sorry it is taking so much longer than originally anticipated!

How is it fixed by the way? I'm going with cable ties, but I have been wrong in the past..... After all I AM married...

it is fixed with rubber well nuts. I have jjust ordered a load of black bolts and washers to keep it all looking tidy.

Sounds wicked. I can't believe I'm only paying £30 for it! I'm having my VX Resprayed soonish. Will auto paint melt the plastic if I should choose to colour code the grill?

Im still in when it all comes together. Sounds like you are doing a proper job, so hats off to you. Dont rush it and knock out a load of rubbish, everyone will appreciate the extra time and effort when they get it.
