Anyone going to the American Speedfest? Despite the header on the site its on Saturday/Sunday 6th/7th June. The VX is entered in two races on the Saturday.

Ginneta G50 on slicks, 4 Caterham R300s, a Radical SRI, some Le man's replica thing, a couple of quick MGBs with very experienced drivers and me!!! Think I may get my first last place!!

What were you driving ? I watched the qualifiers but couldnt stay later

fiveoclock, I was there marshaling all weekend on Post 4. Really good to see VX220 on track - I was cheering you all the way 
I have to say "Allcomers" class has a strange mix of machinery - MGB was dead slow and Radical super fast. Not sure what is the point in having them in the same race?
BTW, massive crash on Sunday euro nascar right next to our post, luckily everyone walked away.

Looked at the entry list on the Friday and knew exactly where I was going to finish. Never going to get near the Caterhams with 300bhp/ton with my 167 per ton. Not sure why the Caterham driver decided to go straight on at Paddock Hill Bend early on in the first race. People on the pit wall said they could see from there he was never going to get round he went past them at such a speed. He skimmed over the gravel like it wasnt there and hit the tyres hard.
I did the race because it was a cheap way of getting two race s at a big event and I fancied doing a couple of 15 minute races rather than the usual hour. I did one at Snett last year and there were enough entries to split it into classes but with ony 11 entrants thats not really worth it.
