I haven't had anything yet either - loom, cover and driveshaft

Make sure you have answered the email that Lotus sent you asking for your contact telephone number, it is required by the Courier company before they will take the goods for delivery.

Sorry, just realised my paypal account is linked to an email I don't often use.

Replied now. Looking forward to getting the bits

Ah man maths... that's how I'm playing it anyway.

When someone has fitted these shocks can they post the results on here?

I like the idea of fitting new OEM, but don't want to turn the car into a boneshaker.

My n/a shocks arrived yesterday, was too impatient to wait for some ACF50 to arrive (but thanks for the info guys), so I doused them in clear engine laquer. Fitted the front set last night and drove the car to work this morning, very little difference over my 56K originals. Fitted the rears tonight and took it out for a spin and, suprisingly, not a massive difference to the originals, despite the rear spring rates being a lot stiffer.

I was hoping that one of my shocks was on the way out, because I had a bit of clonking when going over any rough surfaces, that's how I justified spending dosh on a new set. Unfortunately, none of the original Billies showed any real sign of failure... car sounds exactly the same, I think it's just the road surface being transmitted back into the tub. Never mind, still glad I bought them.

In summary- feels very close to OEM spec, which is what I was looking for. Exactly the same dimentions as OEM, so easy to install.

Hopefully they should last the lifetime of the car :)

I see the site differentiates between driver and passenger side seats. What's the difference?

Lumbar support (and sliding rails if they are supplied)

So you could buy two passenger seats and transfer the rails from existing seats, if you don't mind not having a balloon inflator on the driver's side? I missed the black driver's seat so don't know whether to get two new seats or get mine repaired, esp the driver seat bolster.

You could if you wanted the crippling badly placed lumber pad from the passenger seat on the drivers seat as well. Bolster repair is much cheaper.

That's really good to know, thank you - sounds like not much of a choice there!

Any particular recommendations for where to get bolster repair done?  I'm in Cambridge but willing to travel.

Really appreciate all the good advice on this thread, thank you.

Dave The Trimmer. Not used him personally but many have and his work is excellent. Believe he's on here. If not, google him.

I'm sure there's a local coachtrimmer to Cambridge that would be more than up to the job of fixing it for less than £100. The guy I used in Bedford to totally retrim my interior has retired and buggered off back to Italy, unfortunately.

Yup. T'is a shame as I'd have had a new job for him. Have heard of another local place but no experience of them to know whether to risk it.
