Had a message back from Graham the guy selling the bits and pieces and he says the n/a rear struts wont be coming back into stock. Does anybody know the struts are different on the n/a and the tubby or is it just the springs that are different?   Cheers

I thought it was just stronger springs on the rear of the turbo shocks are the same all round
so you think the turbo struts with n/a springs would work on my n/a? Dont want to buy a set if its not going to work out. cheers
Wouldn't like to say spend your cash but as I said I understood the shocks were the same as are the front springs but the rears had stronger springs to hold the huge extra pig iron weight

By fitting kit you mean you want 3 bolts and washers?

Nuts and washers. Think they come with bolts in set in them. The last one I didn't fit had them at least.

Are they easy to fit? ie, is it easy to get the holes drilled in the right place?

Put some masking tape in the rough areas where you want the bolts to go though the clam, put some form of ink on the spoiler bolt ends and then line it up and touch it to the masking tape. Remove spoiler and check it lines up. Check it lines up again. And again.

Take out boot carpet, grow a pair, drill holes slowly through the clam without putting too much pressure. A good sharp drill bit will go through nicely. If you put pressure on it you may find that a chunk of fiberglass comes out the back. If you want to be super anal you can fit some penny washers on the inside to stop the bolts pulling through if someone decides to swing on it once attached. Put a bead of silicone/waterproofing stuff around the holes/edge of spoiler to prevent water ingress. Tighten nuts. Drink beer and marvel at the addition.

I put washers over the bolts with a spot of silicone on then held the spoiler in place the washers drop off into the correct position then mark clam grow a pair as above 😀 A smear of sealant around each hole before fitting is also a good idea just to ensure watertight

The only reason I thought about doing it around the edge of the spoiler (but not visible) is that I don't think there's a gasket between the spoiler and clam. Over time I image dirt/water/grime would get between the clam and spoiler and cause wear on the paint. But then I though stuff it, you're about to drill 3 holes in the clam anyway as long as the boot is water tight it doesn't matter. If you take it off, you'll need to fill the holes and spray anyway.

The satnav on that Blaupunkt unit will be next to useless now as I doubt you can update the maps. They'll be about 10 years old and in any case it was a very basic satnav anyway. Don't waste your money.
