The bodywork looks as if it is just dirty.  Electrics and get the engine running then it's be ok.   Wont be any worse than the water damage on Scottish VXs by going through 1 winter.

Body work suffering from osmosis all over, would need stripping back completely and wrapping or painting, that's the first few grand.

Just looked this car up, it was recorded as Cat B in December 2013, it's also been reported to have been crushed. Oh & it was Cat D in 2008 too!

Bit difficult if the DVLA have on record that it has been crushed. There is something fishy about this, and I am not trying to chuck a pun in here... I just couldn't think of an alternative word.

Cheers I will pass this info onto him. As he is leaning towards something he can use on the road as well now, I think it will rule this one out.

but there is a way of registering it as a new car, like a kit car. I don't know if that is viable?

In the end though a CAT B VX220 is not worth 6k

Don't think you can as the vin is on the chassis Which has supposed to have been crushed Kit cars are Re registered as they are of no specific donor car A member on here re built a cat b a few years back and tried all angles to get it on the road Had to give up in the end don't know what happened to the car ? Track slag I guess

Could register it in another country then drive on foreign plates.. Ireland. Convert to LHD and sell to EU guys for €€€ due to higher prices..
