Hi Guys, new to the forum but have had the car since new in 2003. This is my girlfriends car and it is now in need of some serious tlc. Can anyone recommend a specialist that we can trust with the car? I would really like to get it back to showroom condition for her.

If you're based in Cardiff then Andy at QMech is a good option.
Depending how much needs doing there are a lot of members around the area that can help - turboluca springs to mind as the local knowledgeable VX restorererer.

Thanks guys - we have cracking gelcoat and fibreglass; probably a dodgy steering rack support (clicking), rust from being outside for 12 years; etc. it is a great car to drive, but really deserves a proper rebuild.

...oiii who brought up tthe subject of fecking Leeds on this forum...and stop the fecking swearing on this forum....any mention of fecking Leeds is banned from this forum...
Leeds will never win the championship....they are just a small club near Sheffield..and Barnsley and Huddersfield and Bradford....they arent even in their rightful place which is in the Evostick Northen League....

If you want to get the car into concours condition QMech are the place to go for the oily bits but be prepared to be patient he's got loads on, and for the bodywork pm me if you want the name of a nut and bolt restorer I've got the details somewhere and can dig out.
