What is the general concensus for the best seats in the VX? The standards one felt fine, but dont have enough lateral support for me. Iv fitted my JK composite seats, and so far cant seem to get on with them. Are the Exige seats pretty much the best you can get, or are there others that are just as good, but not as expensive. Need to be able to fit a harness bar behind them also. Or is it all personal preference?

I have JKS and I think they are way too big for my slip frame. Too tight to change now but I think they are going to have to change when I next free some money for mods.

I still run std seats with a bolt-on harness bar & harness with no problems with any movement 

 

Std belts... hate them on track

Partly yes.

Some like the probax padding, some like a few mm CF to work with.

Some have a big ass that will not fit, and some slide even with a harnass in place.

 

Best is to list the seats that fit your budget, see if any are local(isch) and get a pax in them.

How large is your frame and do you plan to track the car a lot?

 

Personally at 100+kg and wide frame I found the standard seats more than comfortable. On track I find the seats to upright and with a helmet on it was just that little to forward.

I've got a Composite Worx seat now and it's very supportive and surprisingly very comfortable given there's bugger all padding.

Also they look the dogs danglies

Couldn't you just have the JKs fitted with new 'contact pads' to reduce apparent seat size?

I could pad out the JK seats, yes, but i feel they sit me a little higher than the standard seats, maybe its just perspective.

I have these with a harness bar.

I find the headrest a little low at the top if I sit fully upright. But I'm 6"1.

I just don't get the hoooohaaarrr about the probax seats.. Ive sat in a few and they just feel like normal seats and not worth a premium.

 

The Tillet B5's were crazy comfy for me, even with no padding (but I do have enough of that of my own )

I was also looking for better lateral support and bought the carbon fiber seat from Eltech. They are also available in glass fiber.

The seat is a bit more leaned backwards than what I was used to but now I like it a lot. I had to remove the head rest from the rollover bar to allow it to slide backwards long enough. You have to make holes in the seat yourself when you install it.

I believe this seat is very similar to the Composite Worx seat. The price was approx 500 euros delivered.

I think they are only on FB. And then there is Matteo.

I spent a lot of time choosing and sitting in seats. Its very much a matter if how fat your arse is I had a toss up between Tillet B5 and B6. Went with B6 with carbon in the end with VX220 logo embroidered pads cos I'm too fat without them. Awaiting delivery next week. Tillet do seem the best in terms of lateral support.

Il have a go in a few seats if some members are willing, and see what the best one is. I have no arse, and im around 76kg, and lanky, so its probably the best bet. I thought the JK ones would hold me enough, but i still slide around, and i feel i sit too high in them.
