I have owned my VX for the past 9 years, in that time I have never washed it. However, last week trailered it to my local car wash, where it was scrubbed by the many. It now looks like a polished turd. It's highlighted all the marks, scraps, stone chips, cracks & blisters...So, I won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Given the paint that vauxhall decided to use on the vx that scratches and marks when so much as a fly hits it, I think it may be better to let the dirt form a protective layer on the paint

Your car looks awesome! I love those louvres, very similar to the ones found on the McLaren F1 le mans. Did you just cut them where they look good or did you test where the pressure was higher? Even if just for the looks, it gets my approval... Might cut some holes on my car soon...

i just cut them somewhere in the centre where it looked best, having them works better than not having them. there is more detail in my project thread.
