Yesterday whilst out driving in heavy rain and after going through some big puddles the brakes felt a lot firmer going into a particular roundabout and then the ABS light came on. This was shortly followed by the speedo intermittently flicking down then back up to the correct speed.

First thought is nearside rear sensor. Has anyone else had these play up due to water or is it more likely to be coincidence and something has failed? Was thinking of getting a hairdryer on the connector and just having a look to see if there are any obvious breaks.

I imagine measuring continuity back to the ABS unit is a bit fiddly but could be done with a spare wire.
