2003 VX220 2.2 Supercharged Stage 2 – Calypso Red

 

I have made the difficult decision to put my VX220 up for sale. It is low mileage (38,992), recently supercharged (Jan 2015) and generally stunning condition. Since acquiring the car in January I immediately had Joe & Vocky install a new timing chain and tensioner and complete a stage 2 supercharge on the car. Since then I have spent a fortune improving and fettling the car to make it perfect.

 

The overall condition of the VX is excellent, a couple of stone chips to the front of the car and the side but no bubbling to the paint etc. Interior is also great, all the main interior parts have been newly carbon dipped. Supercharger conversion is great fun and lovely progressive power – runs great.

I am putting it up for sale as I am hardly using it, have no garage to store it over the winter, and cannot see myself using it much next year either with other commitments.

 

The price I am after when you consider all of the above is £14,500.

 

I would be willing to sell the upgraded wheels, seats, harnesses & hard top separately (let me know if anyone is interested) and bring the price down to £12,500 but would prefer to sell as a complete package.

Thanks all. It is a real shame, I have loved doing bits on it and like driving it buy keep finding myself using my Evo and leaving it unused. I really hope it goes to a good home it deserves with a warm garage!

Most likely putting the standard seats, wheels and roof back on to sell at the lower price.

 

Think I already have a buyer for the seats & harnesses, however the following will be available:

• Wheels Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 gloss black wheels (16/17 combo), Federal RSR tyres all round (need to check exact depth, but should be very good) - £600
• Hardtop, painted Calypso red, OEM Turbo - £500

Would require collection on both (Bournemouth) as I don't want to send via courier.

Updated price: £11,500 with standard wheels, seats etc.

 

I put a deposit down on a new car at the weekend and would prefer this gone before I pick the new motor up as it makes my life easier with insurance etc - I don't want to have to insure/tax 3 cars!

 

Original seats back in now and harnesses removed, original 5-spoke wheels being put back on this week - need to confirm tyre wear but I think they need changing on the rear and fine on the front.
