If this was the case then the compression test results would show this.To be honest I imagine all your problems are down to the cat blocking up and causing massive back pressure killing the piston rings etc

Leak testing: There are UV markers you can buy to add to oil, here's an example of one: http://www.amazon.co...l/dp/B00TU9BHN6
You add it, run the engine, look for leaks. At this point we need to go back to basics and confirm the engine isn't leaking anywhere. you may need a black light - depends on the kit.
Question relating to this: Martin, have you taken the under tray off to check for oil patches?

a borescope would be the simplist option to access the cylinders for any damage caused by the exhaust system failures.

hadn't replied sooner as was out al day yesterday but what I do know is that though the software shows fuelling is spot on, the carsmells strongly of fuel in the engine bay of and that's how we found the leak from the flexi joint as there were no bad noises etc.
Will get the flexi joint replaced (luckily theres a really good exhaust maker nearby) as that may be confusing the lambda and the fueling (maybe washing oil away??).
The undertray is totally clean, the catch tank is empty and there back of the car is clean.
I have only posted some of the problems here and am losing patience as this has cost a large chunk of money and resulted in an unreliable worse running car. It genuinely ran a lot better when the ecotec had most of a piston missing!
I keep booking trackdays as incentive to keep at it but after December 12th at Brands I may just put it in the garage and forget it for a few months if it isn't sorted.

have you checked the condition of the coolant? It probably can't handle the approx 10 L of oil that have gone into it, but worth checking.

Has it developed a fault from being stored or bad fueling in its initial run in or the exhaust issue along with pcv issue which have played off against each other. It may end up needing a rehone and new rings once the exhaust has been proven clear and clean and the pcv fixed or blocked.its brand new engineI suggest again about getting a leak down test..
