1L per 100miles... There is definately something wrong!Do any other failures have similar issues to martins engine That's if martins is damaged its all speculation at the moment

I have not heard of any Saab 2.2 engine problems and to be honest only Martins Saab 2.0 - which may or may not have had other issues like faulty PCV valve, something weird with the exhaust and of course the internally corroded throttle body from his old 2.2 engine causing a lack of throttle on the new 2.0 engine. The no throttle problem seems to have been cured by the replacement TB as I have not seen any mention of that particular issue since.

He has changed the throttle pedal Don't think he changed throttle body yet And the issue is still there That's how I under stand it as Martin kept saying he has changed his "throttle " Which I think meant throttle pedal rather than throttle body
totally different issue, the voltage issue picked up on the logs is probably from the internal ECU 5v source

I destroyed my old ecotec at snetterton and wanted the same configuration with the itb,s 220 bhp + My block was too damaged and use sump/ block and head from the Saab b207 r ......check my thread need to chin up 😊 All the rest was modified and rebuilt to vocky specifications.... So far so good and re using the car for my daily run ......... Back to the Saab 207.......and would like to know who,s engine failed as well and who did the work on itWhat was done over the old ecotec Fab?

I can`t really compare my B207 2.0 l as it older than the ones from the group buy and came from a different supplier, The only other one the same as mine is still up for sale by Muncher.

While running in I did many fuel learning runs and continued doing these up until and after it was run in. My power runs did show gradual improvements in the mapping, for instance now I've gone back to an early one it has trouble starting which was resolved after some fuel runs.
To help Lee and Matt I plan to re load the best map I had along the way, so will look at the power runs and find the one where its starting to get reasonable power (as much as an ecotec!) and stick that one on.

One of your powerruns logs showed about 186 bhp.
With your 3" pully you should be able to get 280 bhp on a basemap.
Are you telling us you are able to loose/gain almost 100 bhp just by switching maps?

The power loss has nothing to do with mapping Even on the curent map where power has dropped to below 200 hp that particular map has seen 270+ hp And the boost at that time was deffo less than it is now As boost pressure has gone up the power has gone down No matter what mapping on the car I hope it's a simple fix like changing the exhaust and no internal damage has been done

I did think of that to as a cause of Martin's throttle issues, but pity that OBD does not log the stabilised 5v source from the ecu.
But a fault in the source voltage can not explain the rise and simultaneous drop of the two throttle pedal voltages... (And I do hope the ecu throws a fault code if something is wrong here!)
To the B207 failures; I do not count the 2.2 versions here, as those are simple Z22SE's with a new crankcase/liners and forged pistons & rods fitted.
Here in NL we have no problems (yet) with the SC-ed 2.0's, but I have to say that there are only 3 new B207's running, Rob, Smiley and Dominique. Of which Rob ran a lot of miles with his older type 2.0 Z20NET + Harrop and only changed this year to his new Saab B207 block. I myself are still running with the old 2.0 LSJ engine + Harrop and the spare Saab B207 is still in the shed...
I know of German 2.0 engine failure(s) and I think Ultimate now experiences quite some oil usage. But then he ran a lot of boost with his Harrop and exhaust system.

If I remember correctly, Ultimate ran about 265KPa boostpressure with his pulley and exhaust system... That's a lot!
(And your 215KPa doesn't count, as you have 10% more engine volume to fill. )
