Damn, this is booking up quickly!!

I've had my eye on the thread but cannot commit until after Christmas... really hoping there are still some spaces left in January!

If I can't get a space, expect me to make the trip up from Luxembourg in my VX with a helmet in the passenger seat hoping for a few pax rides and, more importantly sinking a few beers with you all afterwards.

100% refund on cancellation up to a month before the event IIRC. Eta:

Bookings cancelled within 7 days of an event are STRICTLY non-refundable. If the place is not filled no refund or credit will be given under any circumstances. Members may also offer their place to other members and sort finances with them direct. Bookings cancelled between 8 and 28 days prior to an event will be refunded less a £15 or 20% (whichever is the greater) admin fee. Bookings for individual events cancelled more than 28 days before the event will be refunded in full

That's a very generous policy.  I read The Fat Duck now requires payment on booking and it's a similar price to this TD

As Pidgeon says, that is rather generous.

I have a feeling we'll be on honeymoon at that time, but with policies like that I might just book anyway and see what happens.

Can always sort train/ferry after I guess

Work have given me the green light so I'm in.

Just need to start booking stuff now, do I need to be a member of LOT before I can book the track day ?

Hopefully he's seen that we're all (ex)VX owners and therefore will make it an exclusive event :D

Yeah, I'm sure that'll go down well if you suggest it to him. Pretty sure I'll hear the explosion from here. Gotta feel for Paul though. He did the reduced rate to get some working cash in, expecting a dozen or so early signups by year end. Now he finds himself with 75% of the slots sold and still the best part of 2 months until the discount deadline expires, wondering how he's now going to break even on the whole day. :beat: Pesky VX220/Speedsters. :P

I'm guessing, in future, he'll probably have to do discounts on a "first 10 customers" type basis, instead of calendar based.

It's gotta be a good thing for his cash flow though? A bit slug of cash before end of the year, where he's only got to pay circuit deposits. Better than noone signing up until the week before the event.

For sure it's certainly better having the cash available, than not. But of less help if it means making an overall loss on the day as a result of the current discount structure and having to take that hit or to try and claw that back on either the unsold slots or across other days. I reckon he should just say the discount only applies to the first person who signed up. :P

he does use that system already, seems more logical.
