Was at Ypres (aka Lepers) last year (as part of the Spa trip). The Flanders Field Museum, located in the Cloth Hall building in the centre of the town is well worth a visit, lots of interactive exhibits, in fact it was so good I went around twice! Lots of places to eat in the central square, plenty of street parking away from the centre, and just a short walk to the Menin Gate. not to be missed!

We could do a small belgium trip , would justify itself just on its own.
I will probably be doing a beer run in a few weeks just over the border to Dunkirk Auchan
