Last years joining instructions say :

Noise – The noise limit at Zandvoort 88db(A) Drive By at 20 meters from centre of track. It is strongly advised that cars are fitted with a cat – most need one to be road legal.

The 88 has been on the Zanvoort website for years.

I have been near 96db  (miltek fase) and way over that (tullett) since 2011.

The 88 only applies after 19:00. (i never survided 1 minute on track after 19:00)

They also have sort of a quote that is not openly on thier website.

We only got confronted with that in 2013 or 2014 i believe. It was all dutch people that got the warning iirc. Seemed to have happen when another major noisy event was happening that week. I run plenty of other trackdays since, and that was the first one EVER.

I can't predict what will happen that day, but massive "send off the track" i cannot see happening.

No body had issues last year

Not with noise no, but with some low flying creatures that share their name with an 80's band with questionable haircuts.

I managed to run for 2 days with no issues but did have a cheeky lift past the noise monitor. Only black flagged on my last run as it didn't matter by then.

Showing your age there; The Monkees were in the 60's. Scutter means The Eagles.

Birds, squirrels, foxes. A few years ago a speedster hit a deer. That car had serious damage.

Ok slight change of plan due to rather restrictive menu at the restaurant previously posted.

I have now booked here

http://www.detrompet.be/en/

for the list before post #474 so I'll have to increase that number. I'll give it a day to see if anyone else wants to join. Also I've booked for 7.30pm but I'll see if I can change that to 8.30pm so that we can go to the Menin Gate ceremony which starts at 8pm which is worth going to.

any changes please let me know.

Chris

Good news/bad news: I've put myself down for Rockingham this Sat but had to pull Zandvoort a couple of weeks ago.

Anybody knows if Chris Tullett makes removable db killers?

Yes they do. But with their usual leadtime, you may not make those in time.

If anyone is looking for a return car ferry crossing for two people with or without a car trailer from Dover to Calais, then drop me a line. The booking amendments will cost you £25. All I'm asking, is for you to make a donation to any cancer related charity of your choice.

....I just got back from a funeral today.

Cheers

Max

We are not going to Ypres as ferry beck is from Rotterdam, anyone staying saturday in Amsterdam?

My wife wants to go to Amsterdam on Saturday to have a look at some old paintings, so have booked another night in the hotel. Easy to get to Amsterdam from Zandvoort by train (about 30 mins), saves all of the trouble of moving hotels.
