Ahhh, Air con, soft supportive seats, quiet cabin, relaxing, comfort. Perhaps a spare set of wheels & wet tyres, even spares. The car breaks down....pfff, who cares, I'm ok Jack!

I would book if i can find track day insurance for me. No one wants to give me a quote😡

Are you talking about single day insurance?  If so why not get trackdays included on you general car insurance policy?    I am sure http://www.hendersontaylor.co.uk/ will give you a competitive quote including euro track days.

They don't do aboard track cover and that might be a option when I come for renewal. Best so far is £205 for day cover.

I'm insured with Henderson and Zandvoort cover was included for free this year.

People seem to be doing the nights of 11th and 12th, is no one up for staying on another night and doing Amsterdam again or something else.

Means we can properly relax after the trackday, not just have a few beers and prepare for a long trek home.

I have chosen thurs/fri at NH, but willing to stop off somewhere on way back or to the circuit. Not sure I fancy paying £500 for the ferry (overnights with cabins) when I could take the tunnel and stop on way to/from circuit and pay the same/less for hotels on land

I got the 9 oc tunnel and was in Zandvoort by around 4. On the way back we went back non motorway via the dykes (road limited mostly to 50mph) and made it back in time to take the earlier tunnel. Driving there or back in a day is not a problem fro the tunnel.

eta/ I've just booked the 2 nights but not booked the tunnel yet so I would be up for stopping off on the way back for a bit of sight seeing.

Yeah, I'm struggling with the ferry vs tunnel choice again. Took the ferry this year (and other than the interminable wait for loading on the first leg and the wasteland that is Harwich) the outbound overnight was fine. The trip back seemed to go on forever and I was ready to start slashing my wrists by the midpoint. Maybe I'll go overnight ferry outbound and tunnel return next year.

I've booked Sat as well with exactly that intention. Last time, although going to Amsterdam, we didn't see much of it due to massive crowds and everything being pink! Hopefully this time the weekend won't clash with the Gay Pride day😉

I'm thinking about day ferry but hesitant due to filling in 7 hours. It's no real additional cost for me over the tunnel + hotel due to living close to Harwich and saves around 600 miles of driving but................................do I want to sit on a boat for 7 hours, decisions!

How about Ghent on the way back again?

I'm planning ferry out as that means no day off work and its easy to sleep on the ferry (but boring as hell when awake), then tunnel back.

Martin
