Agreed. Can't see any reason why you'd want to go wider.

Ok, 8 at rear and 7.5 for front. Is that what TD's are? What about offset? Want them to fill the arches nicely.

Team dynamics are 6,5 or 7 at the front and 7,5 or 8 at the rear.

Or if they were 7 at the front and 8 at the rear...

We haven't even agreed on sizes. This is not set in stone... Think 7.5 front and 8 or 8.5 rear is good.

Tds/Oz Fronts: 7 x 16 ET26 Rear 8 x 17 ET35 Bore:65.1 PCD: 110x5 The ats dtc (which rub front and back) are Fronts: 7.5 x 17 ET20 (rub on full lock) Rear 9 x 17 ET30 (rub on arches and chassis depending upon geometry). Really, the oz/td size which is also the lotus size is very good. But you could try something of a half way point between the two to allow a 17in front (keeping it at 7in wide) and an 8/8.5 rear for a slightly wider than 225 tyre.

Are we saying rear 8 x 17 ET 35 and 7 x 17 ET26 front would be a good options with no rubbing with the fronts?

Titans look good, but need to be much narrower at the rear.

I will raise the question with Rota.

What widths would be more desirable? 7 front, 8 rear? The offsets would change to be the same as TDs then I presume?

Hello FYI I've got RH rims with these offsets front 17 7j et20 takes a 205 45 tyre (No semi, because there mostly wider) rear 17 8.5j et30 takes a 245 40 tyre (..................................) They also do not rub on oem heigth. Also they've got German TUV on them. (Not that it matters) Regards

No problem! Must say with the 17/17 combo i did have these tyres on a (eibach) lowered speedster: front 205 40 17 rear 235 40 17 This set also did not rub BUT i think when putting a 205 45 17 on a 7.5j front rim it WILL rub on full turn when lowerded (NOT sure of this) If possible to get a 7j front i would go for that. (if you want to go to the 205 route) Best combo would be a 7front and 8rear if you want to play safe. Also depends which kind of tyres you want offcourse... grtz

Narrowest wheel Rota can do is a 17 x 7.5

The depth/dish of the spoke is not as deep on the narrower wheels, so here are photos of each

Here's a picture of the Grids:

This is the Titans - 17x7.5 and 17x8 are the same:

I hope that helps, but any questions please fire them on over!

Chris, pics not working??

So how do we get the 7.5 not to rub on a 205 tyre? Change the offset?

I got rear tubby wheels on the front of mine currently, they are 7.5 i believe and have a 195 tyre stretched on. Car is not lowered yet, they dont rub but the stretched tyre does not look good at all. Makes the wheel arch look a bit empty!
