I had this set of 4 Tesla disc saved for months in my "interested" list and only digged a bit deeper in the rear upright calliper offsett ~2 weeks ago. Right at the same time you came up with this topic and bought them from Patrick.

Keep us updated with you progress.

I wonder if the rear uprights are available from lotus and if they're the tapered or straight toelink hole?

all weighed side by side.

 

TESLA:

rear 310mm: 6.7kg

front 300mm: 6.1kg

 

LOTUS:

front 308mm: 8.2kg

rear 288mm: 7.2kg

 

theyre all just the std one piece iron rotors. 

 

think ill be trying to find myself some more 310mm tesla rotors!

 

edit... of interest, the fron 308mm lotus rotors (unsure what brand they are) are vented from the outside of the hat. seems a bit odd? makes ducted brake cooling rather pointless.

the front tesla upright is the same as the lotus, however the front caliper is different (still an AP 2 pot) to fit the 300mm diameter.

 

now i happen to have some neat 11mm spacers here, normally used to space a regular caliper from 288 out to 308mm, but with the Tesla calipers, itll hit exactly 320mm... which happens to be astra vxr territory...

wonder what the vxr rotors weigh, and how badly the tesla caliper doesnt fit the 320mm diameter?

I'm personally a little limited with what I run (everything needs to be TÜV certified), hence looking at what exists OEM Nothin stopping someone else from mixing up their own version of things

all are *actual* measurments:

 

centrehole: 69.9mm - identical

PCD: 5x110 + set screw - identical

disc thickness: tesla 26mm / vauxhall 25mm

overall dicc height: tesla 42.8mm / vauxhall 42.3mm

disc centreline offset: 29.8mm - identical
