which winglet? at the end of the wing tip? those help reduce slip around the end of the wing, improving lift and reducing drag, by reducing the wingtip vortex

Back to wortex generators. Air planer have these winglets and no flat surface after them and this reduces drag?! I think Ive seen this on a Speedster.

You mean those things on EVOs?

Cliffy had them on his VX, be surprised if they did anything

Yes those vortex generators they have ob the EVO. Now they are puttning them on Wind turbines. Sure they help. But must be used right and not in the end according to some.

and thank you anon moderator :)

edit, in other news, my €25 Volvo heater core just turned up... fits like a glove, and is double the size of the old core. not a mod for everyone, as the pipe orientation suits my bodgy RHD-LHD conversion, but for me is a perfect solution. ditched the flap, ditched the stock intake hole. the whole box is now filled with core, and ill use a bypass valve to regulate the temp.

pics to come

Volvo 940 core stuffed into the OEM heater box
the core completely fills the box, and the top tank sits conveniently atop everything allowing good access to the hoses.
pics are rather self explanatory, but any q's just ask :)

How are you going to switch between hot and cold now you've done away with the flap that bypassed the matrix?

I'm guessing that's what windows and a removable roof are for? :)

*edit - nevermind, I just noticed your post above the pics

Will it fit rotated 90 degrees horizontal? Looks close.

very close if you remove the 2cm piece with the grill, but even then its still about 5-10mm too big. plus half the core's intake would be blocked by the front bulkhead. the fully exposed side facing intake has a nice source of air from the front (hopefully not too dirty) and the alignment of the fan outlet/ducting inlet are pretty well lined up (when using a RHD heater box in LHD location anyway!) ive got a pic ill upload in a sec

Wouldn't that block the air feed from the crash box?

Ed has fitted the intake to the side of the old heater box as the side of the new matrix blocks the standard input completely. So as he mentions above rotated 90 degrees the air will flow directly through the matrix and into the fan rather than the convoluted method the OEM one takes.

Back on W2A setup, I had a bit of a ply with some 38mm tube... Yeah, nah. it's ungodly big. So, downsizing the main lines to 32mm, with silicone adapter couplings to 38mm allowing transition to the EWP115. Jury is still out on whether I'll run 19 or perhaps 22mm on the ends within the bay/hood. Need to get some tube and have a look :)

nope, no loom, maf, o2 sensors, temp sensor, starer nor alternator though... 2600 (£2050) for an otherwise complete factory crate motor... cant complain!

The direct injection high pressure fuel pump and injectors loom is included (the main engine loom needs to be purchase seperately).

You can use the standard alternator and starter of Z22SE.

For the MAF you can use something like that:

http://www.regalauto..._J_VXR_OPC.html

Or use a completely different setup, but then you have to recalibrate MAF readings.

Yeah I've been balls-deep in man maths recently totalling everything up.. Obviously, installing one of these engines (selling my existing SC engine bundle), along with the added value to my car (ahem), enhanced reliability of a brand spank engine, and the fuel economy benefits of this smaller capacity more efficient engine... Completely justified my calculations 😄
