In Spain you can't do that kind of modifications and pretend to drive it legally.
This threads make me think that I'm in the worst country to build a car...

Stepped outside this morgen - Oh look who just arrived here
Space is limited so I stacked Fracas over Svetlana for now
Will post pictures when I'm done with welding - probably about next weekend or so.

Dominiks welding is pretty decent..
ive also been stewing on the GT3 widebody and the wheels whilst the cars been away. the widebody is, as youd kidve expect, meant to be slammed on its guts, and the exige deisgned for a staggered fr/rr - meaning on the GT3 Body running matched 17" wheels front and rear it left the rear wheels somewhat lost and orphaned in the large rear wheelwell. all this combined with crap tyre combinations in 17", id semi decided id try and find some kind of 17/18" setup... so when these ATS GTR's came up for cheap (mistmatch colour pair) I grabbed them. will play well with spacers, and fill the widebody just fine. they will match the front DTC's (once I colour match them) so saves me having to buy a complete set of wheels. plus they are nice and light
will be trying some AR1's on these:
fronts 17x8" - 225/45/17 (225mm wide)
rears 18x10" - 265/35/18 (271mm wide)

in otherness, Domink managed to throw birdshit all over the aluminium intercooler pipe, which makes me feel way better as after trying to weld that suff myself, i felt like an absolute retard. obviously its not just me!

Some of the (chinese?) aluminium intercooler pipes are made of some ummm... 'interesting' material..
I don't know what they make it out of and it probably contains SOME alu, but it's often a nightmare to weld compared to some plain old real alu pipes.
Probably has a very high percentage of other alloys like manganese and zinc added which boil and spit like a witch'es cauldron when trying to weld the stuff.. Almost like cast alu can behave in some cases..
Bye, Arno.

yep, that pretty much describes it!

Yep recycled from mixed alloy scrap. Ingredients may vary slightly depending on the bloke operating the crane (or more likely a shovel)
And it depends on those girls:
Well it splatters out bubbles and oxides - probably zinc trapped in pores.
Nothing a pipe belt sander can't cure
PS: That is NO Lack of Fusion on the Turbo Flange... Was so shocked when I saw the picture I had to go out and double check it
Just Some kind of color change near the weld.
I'm busy doing the first steps of the wiring.
This weekend we'll crank the engine for the first time and Fracas goes back home

Dominik nailed it, any with only minor stuffing about, fired up in uneventful OEM-ness
startup video is pretty sh*t i have to say. I’ll do another one later.
