Selling my VX220 Turbo after flood damage on the floor pan and carpets made it a cat b insurance write off. An amazing car at a bargain price because of cat b and too busy to start again. Cost over £20k been battling with insurance for 2 years finally won so its for sale now to highest bidder.

Yes on for 6k but will take sensible offers from enthusiasts as long as it goes to s decent home. Yes either a track day car or lift and shift to another car that's a cat D or strip for the parts which alone would fetch way beyond the asking price its just I've had my insurance which was well short of the £20k I spent but don't have the energy to do this all again.

I can't help but think you'd be better off putting some effort in and stripping it if you want maximum return. Theres been road legal, ready to drive cars go for £8k. With the uncertainty on what underlying damage there may be, definite tidying up needed and it never being able to go back on the road? I'll offer you £3k.

I've not ever seen a Turbo for less than £10k and a cat D at that, I was look for 2 years so I could transfer engine and gearbox etc but no luck and the prices just seem to be rising but I will take the best offer

Are all lights in working order and what's the state of the interior, are the seats in good condition? 

 

I've seen it parked outside your house a couple of times, could be interested in having a closer look. My Dad and I have rebuilt a few now and could be interested in making a proper track focussed car.

Pretty sure that you can put a Cat B car back on the road then tax and insure as with Cat C and Cat D. Then you could just keep it and not care about it's status as you know the car. Or will be able to sell and get upwards of 5k. I'm guessing as well as the electrical and engine damage though that the fibreglass was affected aswell??...

if you wanted to convert your vxT to a stage 4 then this might be a good option, then strip it for parts.

 

You might come close to a 'free' stage 4 if the parts all sell

Cat b means not fit to go back on the road. Parts or trackday only
