Hi, I guess you're new here. Seems like that car has already been quite a project for the last owner. Can I ask why you want to lower it more?
i just felt that with the larger wheels it sort of looks like it sits high sometimes so wanted to get it looking more sleek and more factory looking.
i am fairly new back to vx220s, i had one vx220 back in 2006-7 i think it was that looked like this after i repaired it from being a cat d
this was then sold due to funding a pub i was going into
few years letter after pub was running ok i bought this, which maybe known on here
which i repaired
then modified and changed colour
you may know this car from the forum also
i then sold that car to help fund buying a house, thats was a few years ago now
last year i bought a black vx220 again as a project with head gasket failue, so it had a new engine put in and various other bits and a respray and now looks like this, i will have to sell this once new project is done
so there is abit about my history with vx220s,

it then turned out that both front arches were fitted at slighly different height, not sure y but it was quite obvious, so these had to come off, they were not easy to get off to distroyed to remove so new arches were ordered
before
old ones off
arch cut back and rubbed down for beta adheasion
new arch on
new arches were then fitted to the rear also

few pics outside, i was a little worried how things were looking now, looked very heavy. but hoped it was because of the multi colours on the car now
spoiler off
a pic with my astra van track car in back ground, neglected now :-( but runs vxr engine and 6 speed box and lots of other goodies

then comes the bit i dont really enjoy
mecanical side of things
exhaust off, one hanger needing attention and bend blowing a little
suspension off, nice to see it was all polly bushed tho
i was planning to only take the gearbox out but few things on the engine needed checking so engine out also
poorly looking car
syncros were going in gearbox so replacement box had lick of paint

genuine cambelt and water pump etc went on, clutch looked a bit worn so replacement went in :-( was hoping not to have this expense
new slave cylinder also and engine was built back up
and went back in, with my professional engine hoist, lol
front clam came off, nice and easily which was nice suprise, plus everything looked good underneath

then for a really small detail that i think changed the look of the car, i decided to take a angle grinder and cut in lines to match where the stock vx220 has i guess panel lines, so this was done, i tried to copy the angle of a standard vx to a point
this also makes it so rear clam can be removed if need be
interior came out
