I think you make a very well informed point. The EU referendum reminds me of the Scottish independence referendum a couple of years ago when nearly half the country voted for independence. So nearly half of all Scottish have no idea how lucky they are to be part of the United Kingdom. More patriotism and ignorance than understanding.
<Bing, Bong> Calling Scott George..... Scott George to the referendum thread please <bing, bong>

just been visited by My grandad, he went to chelford market to buy some seed potatoes so he could grow his own and some for the family . the market trader asked to see his licence, what licence he asked, due to eu legislation to keep potato prices high for french farmers you have to have a licence, the market trader said he knows what were going through but he can be prosecuted if he sold without a licence,
Seems a bit obvious said market trader had a vested interest in your grandad's continued custom. I would guess selling them on mass would have some level of governence (health and safety, prices/weights, tax on profits) but he's growing them and giving to family.

Happy days, I think they do it on purpose. Most of the better together waste paper was printed outside Scotland.
We went through this too. They don't care, what's the worst that can happen? It's worth it for them, don't expect the dirty tricks to stop they will only increase as it gets closer. What Purdah? What set budget? Leaflets marked as UK Government advice...no bother.
There's no consequences for it and once the stuff is out there its done and you can moan but it's done.
Now you know how we felt.

My latest opinion on how I'll vote is fk knows. The debate has so far been horrendous. I'm inclined to vote no just to stick it up the slimy cheating bastards but then what? You're left with them running the show anyway. With Farage, Galloway, Boris, Duncan-Smith and the like really happy.
It's two really crap choices.
I'll be up for burning the whole fkin lot of them when you are all ready.
thanks,

Am I reading that right....
I dont know how you felt during indie, but wasnt a main thing that an indie scotland was going to join the EU. This perplexed the fcuk out of me as you'd want to get away from one bunch of bastards running you, to goto an even bigger bunch of bastards to be run by.
Ken Livingston has done more for Brexit than anyone "I will emmigrate if the vote is out"
I still dont know, there are cons and cons with both

We're ready. Have been for years. I got the impression during the Scottish debate that the Scots thought we like the idiots in Westminster... We don't... but we like them more than the idiots in Brussels and more to the point can vote to change them (we just need a decent party to support)... I'll be up for burning the whole fkin lot of them when you are all ready. thanks, #Scottoot

Really.... I goaded him about it more or less daily
I mean the whole "Scotland out of UK, but into EU (which was a batshit crazy idea for indie" and now hes not so sure that the UK as a whole should stay in..

Ulterior motive? UK votes out, despite "overwhelming" support to stay IN in Sweatyland, cue another out referendum for them?

It never made actually made any sense, but leaving the EU also was seen as too far a jump for their sales pitch of the promised land..
I at least have some measure of respect for the small section of Scotnats that will campaign to get out of the EU, in comparison to the muddled, ever populist 'mainstream' Scotnat parties like the SNP, and (to a lesser extent) the Scots Greens.
(I'm still undecided BTW)

Some of the nats are looking at it that way, but in reality there probably wont be that much of a difference in voting across the UK percentage wise, thus not giving much legitimacy to that argument. I've a few former nat-leaning friends who have turned quite anti-EU over the last few months..

I see the jockish greens are really trying to make the world a happy shiny place. e.g. tax the fcuk out of "rich" people, and that "rich" starts with anyone on about £30K or more all aboard the failboat

Thanks all
I'm undecided on the EU vote.
Not sure what you mean on the Scottish Greens Stu. They've proposed a 60% tax rate on those over 150k. But other than that it's:
New Personal allowance £11,500
earnings up to 19,000 18%
19,000 - 43,000 22%
43,000 - 150,000 43%
The Scottish Green's won't claim power anytime soon so they're in a position to pressure the parties that can to move in their direction.

As said above the debate has been beyond hopeless. The choices are getting bottled iin the face or stabbed in the arse.
Harry will be happy to hear I'm open to an out but I'm not sold on it yet.
