Interesting documentary on the history of our relationship with Europe on iplayer at the moment. Seems pretty factual and impartial. http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b077nr8v

I watched that when it first aired. Scary how many back room deals were done to get us in there. I came away feeling that we'd been properly stitched up from the very start by the government at the time and every one since.

Has the debate started yet or is the campaign still revolving around which tory MP's are falling to what camp?

So lots of peeps are going to vote in or out but I wonder how many are qualified to make a descision or even know enough about the EU not to be voting in the dark.  for example:

What are the seven founding institutions of the EU?

What are the four pillars of the EU?

What is (define) a passerelle?

In Qualified Majority Voting what qualifies the majority?

How many presidents of the EU are there at any time?

Can the EU parliament initiate legislation?

What is the Council of Ministers?

Does the Comission outrank the Council of Ministers?

Does Brussels refer to sprouts or the city?

Answers on a postcard to........... huegivezatoss.

Sounds like a lot of expensive red tape that will stop people with common sense making a decision and actually making a difference.

Bad luck, Monsieur Mitch. Looks like you won't be getting a vote. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36159009

Saw that!  We will in fact be OK for the referendum vote as our 15 years is up in October.  For the future though it will depend on the appeal I guess.

If Cameron really thinks peace is at risk, why did he offer a referendum in the first place? It was a political decision, he didn't have to. Load of bollocks.

Of course it's bollocks but this is what they know works. After the Scottish ref Blair Mcdougall stated that if he had had to make a positive case for the union he would have lost. This blinder below spawned a thousand memes http://www.telegraph...head-warns.html Told you it would get worse

M11 Bridge by North Weald, a banner simply syaing

"Vote Leave"

 with that level of detail, I'm there......... try again.

I've got increasing sympathy for the leave campaign...then I remember it includes Nigel (pint and fag) Farage, Boris (What day is it) Johnson and Michael (Rubber Face) Gove.

Total shambles of a referendum.

If Cameron wants to give us something to be afraid of I'd suggest Trump in the white house and Boris in number 10.

I heard a great argument today for both sides..

1. If you want or will vote IN then you need to stop being a whinging Pommy git and become EUROPEAN and accept what all Brussels put upon you, as it is a Europen Union....and say goodbye to the British Isles.....the pound, your borders, driving on the left, mph, etc etc

2. If you want to be maintain your British citizen ship etc etc...then Out is the way to go

Simple peeps....

I don't think you need to lose the pound, drive on the right side of the road, use more of the metric system and lose our shores to be part of the EU, we haven't yet.
