 we haven't yet.

..exactly my point..with the yet word being the expletive.....you willl lose some if not all in the long term, becuase being in Europe Union is about being European...and you wont or shouldnt be in a position to moan about it..

..and even more...you are already moaning because I put this argument up...just become a fuly fledged European and dont worry about it......

dont try and butter your bread on both sides because went it falls down one of the sides is going to get dirty...and it wont be liked.......

either you are European or British.....thats what the EU is all about

We hated the Soviets for having a Union...now everyone clamours for one..ffs

For me "yet" meant as we've gone this long it may never happen. I admire the buttered bread analogy but I can't see the relevance as getting the best of both worlds doesn't create a disaster... Everything always ends in disaster eventually anyway so why worry.

I heard a great argument today for both sides..

1. If you want or will vote IN then you need to stop being a whinging Pommy git and become EUROPEAN and accept what all Brussels put upon you, as it is a Europen Union....and say goodbye to the British Isles.....the pound, your borders, driving on the left, mph, etc etc

2. If you want to be maintain your British citizen ship etc etc...then Out is the way to go

Simple peeps....

I thought of this before, but concluded, just because you voted to remain does not exclude you the right to be highly critical of the EU. Likewise, if you voted conservative you still have the right to complain about their policies.

On another note, I was at Imperial College London for my brothers graduation last week and it was a very inspiring place and confirms my choice to vote remain purely from a scientific advancement point of view.

"It's a quite common opinion in Brussels that the EU always has problems with its member states and our lives would be much more comfortable without member states." "Prime Ministers must stop listening so much to their voters and instead act as “full time Europeans.”" "Elected leaders are making life “difficult” because they spend too much time thinking about what they can get out of EU and kowtowing to public opinion, rather than working on “historic” projects such as the Euro." "We have full time Europeans when it comes to taking, and we have part-time Europeans when it comes to giving." "Too many politicians are listening exclusively to their national opinion. And if you are listening to your national opinion you are not developing what should be a common European sense and a feeling of the need to put together efforts. We have too many part-time Europeans."

It's comments like that, that make me want to get the Eurostar to Brussels and finish the job, that those terrorists recently started, properly. Smug little bastard and his crooked little country that has cut all sorts of tax deals with the multinationals.

Still 100% undecided. :(

I see heavyweight Britnat (who lives and works in the states) Brigabroon has been rolled out of his slumber today to tell you voting out would not be British. Churchill wouldn't approve of retreat or some other bollocks. Never mind the facts eh? All rhetoric. I think the game's a bogie Harry.

Brigabroon is Gordon Brown. Gets called that locally for his ability over his tenure as MP to disappear and never be seen in the constituency only to suddenly appear from the mists when there's grandstanding to be made. Complete arsehole of a man.

Still undecided. Still waiting for the debate to start.

The biggest issue seems to be the free movement of workers, especially for unskilled work. Agencies in the UK not even trying to recruit in the UK and just looking abroad. That has to be gotten under control. That's nuts and contributes to high youth unemployment and low pay. Those waiting jobs, bar work, hotel and factory work that most of us have done in our youth at some point just aren't there now and the wages are shocking. The care sector is the same.

If the free movement of workers had the controls which it hasn't had since 2004 expansion would you be happy then?

Or is it definitely about identity for you?

I'm personally not really fussed what type of notes i have in my pocket as long as there are more of them. The free market is good for trade. The EU put a block to three taking over O2 today aswell which would have meant a crap deal for customers. Their ability to cut roaming charges across the EU was also welcomed. All bad?

The EU put a block to three taking over O2 today aswell which might have meant a crappier deal for customers in the longer term. Possibly. Maybe.

Fixed that for you.

How can you say it would definitely have resulted in a crap deal for the consumer? Nobody knows. Yes, it might have done but it might not have made any real difference to the consumer. All it's done in the short/medium term is block a big investment in extra capacity and infrastructure by Hutchinson in the UK and will inevitably end up in some court challenge somewhere.

Or now means Virgin will buy O2 and stop their existing network sharing setup.

Well that's a fair argument. Wasn't BT trying to buy O2 back as well?

Nah. Understandably, they didn't want to buy a company they'd already owned (classic BT management there - build it, sell it, buy it back) and bought EE with no interference from the EU.

..isnt all about have an Identity and being free....but

Ive always maintained, they need us more than we need them....and continue to do so

..too much is owned by non Bristish organizations.e.g if we were so crap why do the Japanese and Germans build cars here..dont tell me they are going to feck as soon as we leave..

Border control..there use to be an Interpol..has that now disappeared..

I grant you though some of our mess is our own doing..The GB Border control agency is in taters..  (they been trying to introduce a new software project for 10 years and wasted Billions..I think they are on the 3 or 4th attempt).. e.g chipped passports are shite..but you cant go to USA without one...wtf.. the quesues for these are now longer than those without..just like self service supermarkets..wtf

..and another reason to vote OUT..no more fecking Eurovision song contest..I rest my case

Weren't they both struggling to fund 4g coverage on their own? Seem to remember them both looking to partner with another large provider. Might result in them both going under or 2 networks with poor coverage across the country.

Better than un-chipped ones.

there use to be an Interpol..has that now disappeared

Interpol is still there and we're still a member and will remain so. There's just Europol as well these days, which is only open to EU countries to deal with EU cross border crime and our continued membership would need clarifying on Brexit. Neither organisation is worth as much as their own self-importance implies, if you ask me.

Boom Mark Carney intervenes. States obvious. Leaves. Huge fuss made all over news. Leave campaign denies. You got to love it all.
