Crikey you're right! We'd better make sure the 2.2 million expats in Europe get their arses back over here as well then eh? Fairs fair.

and What makes you think the expats would be seen as foreigners after a OUT vote....the EU countries have loved our money before, they will love our money after...   ..many countries that have recently joined the EU say in last 15 years never stopped UK immigrants...   ..and its nothing to do with open borders..   ..but total open borders especially with the plans to increase the number of EU countries makes the UK  "public" commitment verging on a case of saturation..youve only got to see for yourself the Housing departments at most of the Southern councils to see the problems  on a day to day basis...   suggest you visit Westminster council offices in Victoria...total chaos and madness...   ..this is your money as well as mine...being spent in this country...and nothing to do with the amounts that are sent to the Bank of EU   ..and dont get me started on the NHS..   HH ... chinky chinky

Our money...us us us. Do EU nationals not spend money here? Have you compared their contributions vs. anything they take out...i feel it may disappoint you.

One simple question if the EU is so good and we are better off why are all public services and local authorities getting the budgets cut so much we no longer get basic services and the country is still in austerity ? Could it be down to our massive EU membership fees

Is this a fking serious question? I cannot even believe this is being asked. Thats absolutely outstanding. Google credit crunch and banking collapse. Has your memory gone. Its unbelievable you would even ask this let alone the thought cross your mind.

Double quoting this post just so everyone can see it. Somebody actually asked why we had been in austerity since 2008 and heavily since 2010! The banks ya muppet and Tory policy!!!!!!!! Fk me gently.

..woooaaa your horses...there is less money being directed to local authorities

....there are massive cut backs, there are massive "other" costs being introduced, e.g. insurance payouts for pothole damage, falling over bad footpaths..

..the google crunch and banks have nothing to do with there being less money to support our public services except the government in their wisdom..not..decided to bail out the banks..when they fcuked up...Im sure they wouldnt bail out you and I if we did the the same

Iceland went bankrupt and have come out of the other side...its about time we stopped festering to the city......

...and then we can start talking about what money goes abroad.....to the EU...and what money comes back...not as much by a long way..

All this talk about it hitting your and my pockets if we brexit is bollocks...there is no substance.. nor that we will be better off if we stay...

HH...thanks for listening..

Harry that just utter garbage, We are in austerity because of the fcuking bank crash of 2008 and crappy tory policy since which isnt working. It has naff all to do with EU membership. I can't even believe I'm having to explain that to an adult.

Because there's a whole lot of substance to the Leaves "land of milk and honey" where everything will smell of roses, only the English language will ever be heard and we all wake up every day humming along to Jerusalem fantasies. :beat:

As it always has been (and was in the case of the Scottish referendum), the truth lies somewhere between.

The UK National Debt now stands at over £1.7 Trillion (It was 800 Billion when the Tories took over just 6 years ago!) The deficit is now around £69 Billion. The net contribution to the EU last year was £8.5 Billion Please pray tell even with an absolutely completely unlikely neutral economic impact otherwise how this is the answer to austerity?

It won't really matter as it'll be an in vote on the 23rd. I've never stopped wishing it was a yes though. I was a campaigner for it.

Well if you have figures that prove the population is less than it was 10 years ago they must have been calculated by Cameron

Watched this last night:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...-edge-of-europe

Quite a decent programme and covers the debate with an element of neutrality I wasn't expecting with some views which may surprise you in Scotland.

We had lots of this kind of stuff during our referendum along with many grassroots campaign groups meetings in town halls etc. This EU referendum has been horrendous in comparison. The facts are completely lacking and the spin is horrific which just seems to all in be a personality conflict between some pretty crap personalities and some posh school mates.

Have a watch.

You said "non working". Thats the key phrase.

In many ways I feel your pain. But the debate has neither been long enough or of decent quality and the establishment has closed in. All the games are being played against the leave campaign that were played against the Scottish Independence campaign.

I'm not even sure how I'll vote yet, trying to see through all the crap is impossible even for a geek like me. I can only imagine the plan is to scare and bamboozle the public much like better together did.

They're last ploy a few days before our ref was "Don't know vote no"

Says it all really.....
