Got to love an optimist
The scale of the task is enormous. Handily we have the blues in power so all the government clout needed to deal with it all got cut a few years back
..now to the true reason for voting for change....it keeps IT "change" consultants ( like me) in a job for a long time...
As a Civil Servant I can't publicly comment or air views on the referendum, the outcome or the debate. But it has been fun to watch this thread.
..and as a reminder Wolfy..I pay your wages..even if I am paid by Government in the first instance !

HH, Do you REALLY think we are out of the woods? Think of it as the calm before the storm. Time will tell!
I invest several thousands of pounds every month on the stock markets. Believe me, the stock market has a short memory & it won't take much to upset the cart. On the plus side, I've made over £15k this month

I'm getting really fcuking bored now of senior politicians talking down our economy... do they all have their money invested in the USD or something? Totally irresponsible and potentially self fulfiling given how markets are influenced by confidence.

I think we need some good economic data, post Brexit to calm foreign investors & encourage investment again. At the moment markets are just capitalising on cheap stocks knowing that nothing will change for the foreseeable future as the button will not be pressed till early next year.
Anyway, I'm sure by then Boris will have won everyone around to his way of thinking with his charm & wit!

Interest rates cut...
£ goes down ...
British goods cost less and everyone rushes in to buy them cheap!
Oh wait .. we don't make anything anymore

We are now entering the phase where the remainers say "told you so" and the leave loonies say its all a conspiracy. So predictable for those of us with common sense.

HH, you're delusional!
Hairy, Prices will go up not down! We buy in 70% of most goods especially high value items, because the pound is worth less. But, you're right about us not making anything anymore. Perhaps the Chinese will purchase England & we'll throw in Scotland for free? They won't want wales, so we'll all have to move into the hills.
...Bugger, I only made £6,215 last week on stock markets. Brexit has made selecting stocks much easier! Even the free Apps are getting it right???
