A small scoop shape to replace the oem mesh only, and use the existing mounting points (plug glue some on the inside like the oem turbo ear) would be awesome.
The germans have their glue on ears, but with the right design, this may even be better.

TBH it annoys me the slats don't align with the mesh...that's just me though

Mine was going to be the original mesh just with an additional scoop section on the outer side. Plan had been to get an original and connect the additional sccop but the originals are very weak and when you take them off they usually just bend (ask anyone who fitted turbo ears to an NA).
A complete replacement that can bolt on would be neat. Alos mean that those who like to have the option of going back to original could.

Even though mine is a long way form an na, my daughters is one and I love these sorts of simple but interesting mods.

Me too.
One of the German VX/Speedster places and the Eltech guy make NA compatible ears that don't involve the surgery. More like the turdo ears than these though.

1st, I really wish you wouldn't😆 I like the addition from Martin S & could you make them slightly deeper, put a radius in to the corners & twist up/out the horizontals to create the draft upwards so the top is on the mesh & the bottom is approx 3-5mm off the mesh? Just my thoughts because I don't have your skill.hah wish I knew what colour it was so i can get the front resprayedI like the red paint job more. Please spray my car in that colour.... But i also like Martin's design

Group buy Just registering interest really, if someone is going to go to the hassle of designing and making something and wants to sell them on I certainly will be interested in buying one if they look anything like the above 'photoshop' image.
Keeps us all informed with progress and see what can be done and pricing!

Skip the mesh, ad the extra flap for more air +1.
I'll take a set.
