But Lotus have always had optimistic power claims with all the Toyota builds, just gets worse with the v6

I thought the 2zz engines had a weak gearbox?

They do

But the newer super charged Elises have a good gearbox so not much to worry about.

This is what the Z4M is like around Snetterton. I'm a few seconds quicker than my old completely standard VX220. I couldn't lose the Clio though.
