Welcome, but what are you doing taking a 62 plate vehicle to kwik fit?? Can't see a Vauxhall dealer being any different to that of not a cheaper fixed price. Did kwikfit use genuine parts?
I could have taken it to Vauxhall however it's out of warranty now.
As for your question about genuine parts, I really have no idea lol.

Wear and tear items wouldn't be covered under warranty anyway. Might be worth knowing for peace of mind. As you can probably tell, I wouldn't take a car there. Ever heard of their "guarantee pads for 10 years". There's a reason for that, they put crap pattern parts on which obviously won't last that long but they get you back to put another set that cost them pennies and oh look you may need a new exhaust. Sorry but when it comes to brakes, in my eyes saving a few quid momentarily for something that will only last half as long, no brainer. Don't want to worry you at all, but worth checking.
Okay, thank you.

OMG I am so fuming right now. I took the car in mainly because the brakes were squeaking. Now, they still seem to be squeaking?? I shall be taking it back to Kwikfit and tell them they did a p*ss poor job at sorting my main concern.

Kwikfit at their finest: £300 on new discs and pads when all it took was 10 pence worth of copper grease.
