Think you re right.

Anyway F23 and F40 are interchangeable - same flange, same TOB distance.

But you need to pay attention when buying the clutch plate.

I don't think the 6mm in Radius will make any difference if you also have the corresponding flywheel -  but the splines differ...

F40 needs 23 teeth and F23 has 14 teeth.

Only reason why I didnt use a F40 is:

The F40 wont fit in a VX subframe because its to long.

So I used the F23 with a 228mm 14 teeth spline clutchplate together with a 8-bolt 228mm aluminium Fidanza flywheel (about 4kg).

I have both a F23 228mm clutch and a F40 240mm clutch here (the latter pulled off a A20NHT engine), so can make the direct comparision. As you say, different spline configuration..

I already have a TTV light flywheel to suit (C20LET actually) so will prob have to opt for a suitable F23 clutch if the time comes (such as the Southbend - really need something that can be used everyday)

The Southbend is suitable for everyday use.

The Stage 4 (without plus) has exactly the same feel, force and engagement as OEM Clutch.

lol

The red light is the warning output of AEM Failsafe Wideband.

You can configure the limits with a software tool to alert you or even cut boost:

And this was set up with very tight limits at that run... *beep beep*

Yep I say "where is my 6th gear" at 4:24.

It was really annoying to drive 12 seconds long with about 245 km/h in Revlimiter.

But now that I have the new Diesel gearbox I can accelerate to almost 270 km/h on that straight.

I've just happened to come across your Saltzburg video whilst I saw searching for info on this engine, nice strong mid range acceleration. I was trying to look for some dyno plots where the rev/rpm range was extended but couldn't find any. I guess as it's a relatively new and strong engine out of the box that not many people have really opened up their brand new engines and messed about with them yet - another 10 years and this thing will be Vauxhall Novas and tuned to the max! LOL

BTW, do I hear your turbo stalling in the video?

Thats exactly as I see it :)

Will take 1-2 years then the first ones - presumably me - rev it to 8000 with the EFR Turbo :)

You mean the whining noise at 1:43?

Thats a "flute" created by two charge air pipes joined with a samco hose at a weird angle^^

I already replaced it with a one piece welded aluminium pipe because the noise annoyed me.

Resonance gone - no noise anymore but no gains in power though :(

When messing with the ECU software, did you found out if somehow the OE ECU has provision for true flex fuel capability as the US one does ?

Of course it has full flex fuel capability.

I've even got the Ethanol Sensor wired in.

Only problem is: There is no E85 anymore in germany  :angry2:

Ah you ment the flutter noise at 2:08

That's the surge limit - at little very little boost the BlowOff Valve does not open.

You can configure the limits but I like to have the fast response if you keep it shut.

At that little pressure the "pigeon load" on the turbo bearing is not harmful ;)

Yep, at 2m 08s, that sounds like turbo stall, but as you say it's not dramatic, so unlikely to be an issue.

The software looks well presented, what exactly is it (ie who wrote it and sells it) ?

The software I use to change tunes , tables, parameters on GM ECMs is HPTuners.

hptuners.com

You could also use efilive

https://www.efilive.com/

Or any other "table changer" :)

The firmware (OS) on the ECM to make it run standalone is my own kopp racing standalone software ;)

A few of the Dutch also use it on their harroped speedsters.
