Spraying before charge cooling can cause the water to condense and turn to droplets instead of vaporizing and reaching the combustion chamber.

Recent study's by BMW show that the most efficiency, knock limit gain etc. is made by mixing water and fuel under high pressure and inject with direct injection. Next best option is port injection.

The usual aftermarket approach is to inject after charge cooling and cool the air charge before it enters the combustion chamber if there is a long enough routing like on turbos.

Right I'm just about to drill and tap the holes in the jets in the manifold. What's have others done as you get a bung with the kit that is 1/8ntp that is suppose to be fitted to the manifold with some lock tight, then the jet screws Into it that. The other option is dill and tap for the jet which is m8 x 0.75 and for direct to the manifold. This method seem the best option for hight wise of the jet and tubing as the bung adds another 5mm of hight to it. The only problem with screwing the jet is not the safest way to do it as this is why they give you the bung plus the jet can't be lock tight in as it needs future removal for cleaning ect. There was another option with these 90 degrees bends which would mean no risk of kinking of the pipes http://www.aquamist-...et-adaptor-4mm/ not sure about space tho as it looks close to the alternator one one side and close to the oil cooler housing on the other. Any pictures or ideas you guys have done?

Cheers mate I've seen them but don't like the idea of bending the tube to a 90 degree bend incase it stops the flow. I've now bought the two 90 degree bends on that link and will have ago at fitting them with the adaptor also, as im not a fan of screwing the jets straight into the manifold. Had a good measure tonight and there's roughly 30mm of space on the left hand side before it touches the alternator and 39mm of space on the right hand side before it touches the oil cooler housing.. With the adaptor, jet, and 90 degree bend it's 29mm exactly. The plan is to move the jet slightly on the manifold so it completely misses the alternator which should be about 2-3mm max. Looking at this still keeps the jet nicely positioned inside the inlet to give a good spray over the laminovas.

You will probably end up with 2 4mm jets There is a calculator on the aquamist site http://www.aquamist-...sing-pwm-valve/

Do you use an electronic shut-off valve in that water line, or just those (I assume) spring loaded one-way valves?

To prevent sucking in water at low loads/high vacuum...

Some have bought check valves But after speaking with aquamist today they think it's only necessary if you injecting pre charger

Ehhhh, my main issue with spraying after the TB would be the vacuum at low loads, as that gives a risk of flooding the engine if anything malfunctions...

I'm not running any check valves currently, no issues so far. Though I do plan to fit an inline one to the line feeding my post laminovas jets before I fit my third Pre charger jet

However all is not yet lost I did consider losing the heater but don't think that's a good idea
