in terms of the intake temperature, and the different temperature figures mentioned above. Take in to consideration that the measured temperature figure , is not the true at this moment temperature. The sensor element is encased in a protective coating which acts as an insulator and so you never actually get the sensing element, usually a NTC resistor to actually match the heat value of the air passing over it. so it is better to set the ecu to cut in earlier , on the basis that the measured value is lagging behind a lot from the suddenly rising intake temperature and it is best to protect the components. so if the SC compressed intake went from 0 to 100'C , the rise time of the sensor is such that you might read 63'C after 10 seconds sample time. the only way to get a fast reacting and accurate reading is to use a K type thermocouple

The water injection uses fuel injector duty cycles for mapping not inlet temp so the water will be injected as soon as the required duty cycle is reached. But I agree the logging data has a lag to what is actually happening.

I can also add a temp correction factor in the software

All i could see was this sticking out:

Strapped to the side there the mormal washer bottle is attached to.

Good back up plan
Was thinking of putting something lower down behind the battery/ heater which would be fed from the washer tank
But knowing that fits in there is worth knowing

Would probably need a air relieve valve

A bit odd but if you need a 5 litre "jerry " can like that fishing tackle shops sell a very heavy duty version. Maybe in camo' though 😝

If it helps I have a k-type thermocouple you can borrow. Will need some imagination on how to fit it in there though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got a email from Peter last night Which I thought was quite interesting and thought I would share Good to see the water injection is doing its job, very nice intake temperatures! When I look at your log, positioning the jets after the Laminovas is definitely the better position for lower intake temps. I am not sure if this is also the case when you want to go for maximum power, on my own setup I definitely see the efficiency of the charger is improving. I get more boost with lower intake temps. But the temps are not dropping as massively as yours. I'm not intrested in having anymore power it's all about intake temps for me at the moment It's also worth mentioning peter has a M62 setup where I have harrop

That's some excellent engineering right there :)

Yep, spraying before the blower raises efficiency as the watery-air seals the rotors better, but for max cooling you need them after the laminova's.

So... Do both.

(Only there is the issue what water does to the rotor coating. They say it should be ok with plain water, but I've seen pics of stripped rotors using water/meth injection...)

ps; did you ask Peter how much power he ,easured with his watercooled M62? His car was pretty powerfull at Zandvoort.

That's impressively expensive for plastic balls.

this one fits in behind the the battery 5 litres

and would also feed it from the washer bottle tank so i get a other 2.2 litres and easy filling

In our fuel tanks we used foam or now use aluminium scourer looking balls
