The reason I'm not being specific is because every car is different and it's use will change what direction you go too, I don't want to post generalised guides, for this if you are prepared to work it out there are guides on the Aquamist site. If you want help deciding if it's for you or which kit or what options then PM me, I would rather be specific as it needs to be really.

It is the same kit without a gauge and a flow sensor. Has some failsafe but not as sophisticated.

Not sure they are even selling that kit now. The mention of it may well be only because the hfs3 page has not been updated.

Anyway think yourselves lucky I needed the HFS4, you are all cheap skates.

Just curious... what kind of IAT's are you guys running without WI? (and with cc??)

Just to get an idea if I'm runnig hot. I'm running in the 60's when doing powermeassurment pulls, stop over for correction, run again etc. Good way to get heatsocked.

Keep in mind you only benefit powerwise when the timing map is altered as well. This also means you have to make sure the watertank is allways full... No water  = running hot with an advanced timing map = not good.

Here is some on track data on a fairly cool day

As for timing and mapping for water injection
Until the pro version of Dutch software is finished/ released think most will be running there current map just with water to cool charge temps which will help power because the ignition won't be pulled and fuel not added
So should Deffo make power consistant

During power runs I always go for a consistant rpm drive first to bring the heat down
And then hit around 50-60 degrees on power runs
But I'm running a HArrop

60 on power runs will see you well above that on track. Most people will use it to keep what they have rather than add power, this makes it worry free as your tune is proven to work without WI, but no drop off on track that most experience. I'm sure some will experiment and take advantage of the cooling or even add the meth too and tune for it. This requires that you use the failsafes to protect engine should the WMI fail.

Acidpopstar has the graphs posted on his thread that we took during testing for direct with/without comparison.

How do the "failsafes" work on an SC car, it's not like we have clever ECU's that can switch to a safe map on the fly or any kind of ECU controlled boost solenoid to control/dump boost in the event of a problem?

It will be in conjunction with the pro Ecu being launched

You can do it now with dummy signals to make the ecu think something is wrong...

So you could send a dummy high iat signal which you can setup on the Ecu to pull the ignition down At them particular temps or above

Yes that would be an option. Have a read of the book, there are outputs and pass through contacts that can be used anyway you want.

Why is you coolant temp so high?
Do you run the pro alloy pre-rad?

How are your coolant temps at normal street driving?

I am working on a Harrop-powered Car at the moment with pro alloy pre-rad and 2nd pre-rad standing at the front of the crash box and coolant is much higher than before...
Fans will start at 95 and it is not getting higher. But not cooler, too :-(

Cheers
Chris
