Why is you coolant temp so high? Do you run the pro alloy pre-rad? How are your coolant temps at normal street driving? I am working on a Harrop-powered Car at the moment with pro alloy pre-rad and 2nd pre-rad standing at the front of the crash box and coolant is much higher than before... Fans will start at 95 and it is not getting higher. But not cooler, too :-( Cheers Chris

Coolant temps are high because I had only just come in from a 10 min run on track setup the log and went straight out When cruising at 70 mph my temps are quite low around 83-84 degrees I have a full pro alloy setup cc and coolant engine rad with two fans

Fans kick in at 99 When on the road the car dosent get over 90 degrees but I don't really drive bad on the road Unless in traffic

I get circa 30/40 c on power runs. :P without wi.

if this is  the case why are yo bothering with WI

would be good if you could put up your track data similar set out to the one i posted

and a power run chris

maybe a base map harrop has cooler temps than one which has been mapped

Its more down to my direct air cooling for the supercharger than anything else., that and im sure the car is running a little rich.

Thats without CC and airscoop on the roof right? (sorry, couldnt find the answer in your thread).
No, its with a cc and a direct air cooling for the charger.

As chris said, all the air going into my scoop is channeled onto the core of the charger, the gap gets smaller at the rear of the scoop speeding up the air too.

No disrespect to anyone but graphs taken on the road while using "cruise" revs are pretty missleading. You need high stress logs over prolonged periods, i.e. track sessions. Even a power run won't tell you the truth about where you are cooling wise.

Just curious... what kind of IAT's are you guys running without WI? (and with cc??) Just to get an idea if I'm runnig hot.

On track 75 with m62 and 95 with harrop on hot days. Go to my channel and see for yourself. inlet temp is top number on phone.

Check my thread out for IAT graphs on a warm track day at Blyton Park last year. First one without it switched on was getting into high 80s/90s, next with it switched on (straight out of box, not mapped) dropped to high 20s/low 30s. I'd post them here but I'm on my phone at work. Edit: I don't have a big CC rad up front, just a small ear rad which doesn't do much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TMAP sensor must have a rise time , temperature sensors are quite bad for that, unless its a K-type thermocouple
