Lotus Probax Sports Seats for sale - AS NEW CONDITION

A pair of Lotus Probax Sports Seats for sale. Only done about 2500 miles from new. Superb condition, literally as new.. Really impressed with how they've worn. No bolster wear, tears, rips, nothing. The only mark I found on either seats was the slightest of scuff (about 2mm long) on the plastic harness hole. I've tried to photgraph this. You won't see it unless you are about 1 ft away, I only found it whilst checking them over. I don't even think JG would notice!

Be good to see them in another VX, but I'll also advertise on Lotus forums.

Only issue I've ever had is drivers runner can be stiff if you are not sat in the seat (like when you out the roof behind the seats). I had a new runner from Lotus but it was no better. Vocky says his is the same, although he's adjusted his slightly which apparenly helped.

£1250 collected (Redditch, just south of Birmingham)

Same with mine, I took my runner apart to try and fix it, it's better but still sometimes difficult to slide all the way forward without sitting in it. Lovely seats btw, I love the Probax. Took my car from Swansea to Spa earlier this month. No back ache even doing it in one day.

Good to know it's not just mine. Can't beat Lotus build quality.

VXR seats aren't Probax seats, they are VXR seats (and usually pink Alcantara by now  :P ) which are basically Corbeau LE Pro shells.

Probax is the brand name of the dual density foam used in later Elise/Exige seats that may be in the style of Hark's seats or just the standard harness hole-less Elise seats. They may then be covered in leather or Alcantara.

these are the best seats for a vx

You can make the runner issue much better by re-aligning the fixing holes on the subframe, they are slightly 'off' for a vx. Plus you need to add a washer under the rear subframe (at the mounting bolt) to make them sit correct. The Europa gear lever / handbrake mechanism has tabs which sit under the seat runners, thus raising them, so you need to replicate this.

You can see on these pics that the vxr seat is a bit different to the Probax, and as said above its using the corbeau shell apparently.

I believe the VXR seats used the shells from the 340R/S1 Exige Sports seats unless those are after market

Corbeau seats had more padding under your knees like these  http://www.sportseat...ts/cat_243.html   :)
